I found this while i was blog surfing and thought it was fantastic!!

Dear Neighbor Lady with the perfect hair,

And perfect nails.. perfect waistline... perfect kids...

I am writing this letter of apology for what you saw today. I was caught completely off guard when you rang my doorbell at 10 am this morning. I answered it thinking it was UPS. I didn't know people delivered cookies before 4 pm. With their hair done. And all of their clothes on.

I'm totally always usually partially dressed by noon at least. Of course that means most body parts are covered.. doesn't mean they're all "Saddled up". I saw you looking at my knees alot. At least I thought you were looking at my knees. Until I realized I didn't have a bra on. And that must mean you were staring at my "unsaddled" breasts. EMBARASSING.

Your cookies were incredibly good. I tried making you a pan of "thank you" brownies. I was so proud of myself because I only dropped half the batter on the floor once. my daughter did dip her entire hand in the batter, but it was after we washed her hands. So I figured we were good... I was on the path to success.

After the brownies were out of the oven is when things went down hill. my son threw the ball for our dog, which scared the cat so bad she jumped on the counter. I then had a 20 pound cat sitting in the pan of brownies. I tried really hard to brush off the hair and hide the body imprint, but it didn't work. So no brownies for you.

I hate to be harsh and sound ungrateful, but if you're going to just "swing" by again, please try to make it afternoon and not the butt crack of dawn. No one likes to see a butt crack. And I most certainly did not like opening the door and seeing the sun barely risen over the East mountains. Get some dark curtains or something.

I promise that if you visit later in the day there's a 50/50 chance I'll have a bra on AND be dressed completely. I probably will have already picked up the mess in the front room too so I won't have to shove you outside and close the door. And no, there wasn't anything going on inside as you so kindly asked... I just couldn't imagine you standing in the middle of my living room with a bra on in that kind of mess. Those messes are reserved for braless people. It just wouldn't be right.

So nice to meet you my Stepford Neighbor. I have a feeling we're going to be great friends.

Love,

PS. I would totally join your Bunco Ladies Club... but that's my weekly "stuff my face with Dorito's while watching American Idol" night. Dang. Next time.

ApRiL FoOlS!!!!!

This year for April fools I surprised my husband with a bar of soap in the shower that had been coated with a layer of clear finger nail polish. I was waiting outside the bathroom to see if it actually worked and it did! he went to lather up and the soap didn't do it's job! then poor little Austin went to wash his hands and the water came out red he ran out he door saying mom got me and pouted on the couch. I think it scared him a little. then I stuck a post-it note that said Tickle me please on his back :) he couldn't figure out why Bryan would stop tickling him and why he kept asking him why he wanted to be tickled :)Then when Bryan went down stairs to use the computer he couldn't get his mouse to work he was wiggling it like crazy he even went and got new batteries for it but to his surprise when he turned the mouse over there was a small piece of a post-it covering the red light that said ApRiL FoOlS!! hee hee hee I kept following austin around snapping bugs out of his hair (the way dad and grandpa smith used to with their fingernails)that absolutely grossed him out he would shiver and yell at me he didn't like that it one bit. But it was funny to watch his reaction. and then when I thought I was the master of all of the tricks they snuck into the kitchen when I wasn't looking and put a clear elastic on the kitchen sink sprayer and got me good!!
Happy ApRiL FoOls Day!!!

Show and tell

Today for show and tell Austin took his cool new bakugans and their battle pack and three pics of his grandpa. as he held each one up he smiled and said that's my Poppie at my house and that's my Poppie wearing his motorcycle gear and this one is my Grandma and Poppie. And then his little voice cracked a little his face was a soft red and he said my Ppoppie was in an accident and I don't have him anymore. my heart broke for my little guy who has really felt the loss of his Poppie. Both Austin and Lizzy have been different since Poppie was taken from us. But the other day with the sunshine finally out I saw my kids again playing like they used to and smiling. Some times we don't realize that these little ones really do understand and they are hurting and sad and missing Poppie just like the big people are. seeing my kids smile and feeling the warm sun makes me happy and gives me something to look forward to each day. I know Poppie is smiling in heaven and is so happy when he sees the little ones smile and playing like they used to when he would come by on those sunny afternoons.
Miss you tons but love you more!!

DAD

The Best, No Better, A hero
A Best Friend
Our Dad!!

When I try to make this make sense in my mind
The only conclusion I come to
Is that Heaven was needing a hero
Somebody just like you
Brave enough to stand up for what you believe and follow it though

I remember the last time I saw you
Oh you held your head up proud
You're such a part of who we are
Now that part will just be void
No matter how much we need you now
Heaven must have needed you more

'Cause Heaven was needing a hero
Somebody just like you
Brave enough to stand up for what you believe and follow it though
When I try to make it make sense in my mind
The only conclusion I come to
Is that Heaven was needing a hero like you

Heaven was needing a hero...that's you.

(Jodee messina)

Love you much more much more!!!

we stopped by my parents house one day and my mom left her hair dryer out :)

HoLy CrAp I HaVe a kId iN KiNdErGaRtEn !!!!

I was walking Austin to the office because we were late today that seems to be what happens when it's Dad's turn to get austin up and ready for school.
Dad thinks Austin should be able to get ready in 20 mins. but austin needs at least an hour and a half. he needs that first half hour just to wake up. and then he takes his sweet time eating and messing around till it drives us both so crazzy that when the bus stops in front of our house and Austin is down stairs booging instead of getting dressed (he thinks we don't know but i've caught him quite a few times shaking his bum instead of getting dressed) ne ways the thought crosses my mind to just send him out there running for the bus in his underwear. just to teach him a lesson he's sure not to forget :)
ne ways when we were walking down the hall back to his class from th office I felt like a proud little mommy of probably the best kindergartener in the world!! watching him excitedly show me everything and tell me about when he goes to the office buy himself and all about the kids in his class. and then i realized HOLY CRAP I HAVE A KID IN KINDERGARTEN!!!

Life is moving so fast I wish I could slow it down. before I know it he will be wanting to take the car and arguing with me even more. ugg he's already telling me he's not my littl guy "I'm big mom" but I just tell him even when your 100 years old you will still be my little guy.

Austin came home yesterday with The student of the month award! It also came with a free kids meal coupon from burger kind so we headed their for lunch and then
spent the rest of the day at thrift stores looking for cool finds. i've been wanting to find a dud to turn it into a jem but we didn't find andything like that. but we did find the cool marble maze toy in the pic at the DI in ogden for $1 he was really excited cause he's wanted one forever but the are really pricey good ol DI :)

Am i the only one that feels this way?

why do boys instist on wearing girl pants? you know what i'm talking about the really tight sometimes brightly colored or even multi colored and look like they bought them in the litlle girls department. I mean honestly most of them are so tight they can barely pull them up to their bums. i always thought that when you put your pants on and they did cover you bum that ment you need new pants or at least a bigger size. not lets go hang out at walmart and show all of the girls my sexy pants.
I mean really do young girls now a days really think that is atractive?
Why even wear pants i mean i can see your worn out faded underwear. Just don't wear pants i would much rather see you in your boxers then in those awfull pants!!
my mom always says it just a phase but really lets hurry this one along. This phase needs to be locked a way and shot into outerspace!! if you are a one of those boys and you love your tight brightly clolored girl pants and you are reading this and feeling a bit offened I'm not trying to mean but someone had to say something!!
and if your a girl and you think this look is so super hot on boys please tell me one way this fad makes boys so irrestiable cause i'm not seein it????
