Tons and tons of rain, conference and some
oooey gooey goodness!!
RAIN - I just have to say i love the rain! i just love it when i turn on the news to see what the weather is going to be like and their is rain in the forecast especially on the weekends when Bryan is home. My reason for loving the rain is a rather selfish but i love it so much because when it rains Bryan can't go outside and work on his cars i know I'm so selfish but its so nice to just get to sit with my husband and watch a movie, go shopping and spend mounds of money that we don't have (darn tjmax we spend so much money there) play with the kids, sit around talking and dreaming up inventions or planning for our smoothie shoppe that we will someday open or just sitting around acting like idiots for our own entertainment. Their are other reasons that i love the rain like getting to wear comfy sweaters and lounging and for some reason house work doesn't seem so important when it rains but who am i kidding i mostly just love the fact that it ruins Bryan's outside plans to work on his projects and we get him all to our self's i can't help it i just love the guy!!

CONFERENCE - For the first time in my life i actually sat down with an open heart and watched conference it seemed like every talk was for me and my little family i just enjoyed it so much. I didn't think i would be able to watch very much of it because i thought for sure i would have my little cuties to deal with but thankfully Lizzy's naps were right on with conference she would go down for a nap a little bit before each session she slept all of the way through all of them. And Austin who at first kept asking when it would be over so he could play with us and be loud was soon quietly drawing pictures during both sessions on both days. I'm just so thankful that we were blessed with good little ones especially on those two days. our lives were so blessed. and i believe in that one day, things changed in our little house for good the spirit was defiantly in our home this weekend!

OOOEY GOOY GOODNESS - When i was younger whenever my parents would leave us kids home alone i don't know what it was but we insitsted on sneeking into everything we weren't suposto. we would make different food creations and hopefully have the house excatly how it was before they got home. but one of the best creations that ever came out of our sneeking is a little oatmeal brown sugar something i still make to this day and to my surprise on this rainy weekend bryan requested in his own words " heather how about you make your ooey gooey creation and we watch a movie" it just made me so happy that my little family loves this childhood favorite of mine! But i can't take all of the credit my sister crystal was the first to introduce us kids to this yummy delite. and over the years i have made it my own by adding peanutbutter choco chips honey white choco chips and much much more sometimes when bryan leaves and the kids are occupied i sneek my self a little oooey gooey goodness all to my self with a tall glass of milk and it just makes the world a better place :)

Loved this!!!!!!!!! It was so funny how you talked about loving the rain because it spoils Brians project plans! What a good example you are staying in so nice and cozy and watching conference. I went camping on conference weekend(figured we could listen to it later on the internet) and it rained like crazy on us. I am still feeling guilt pains. (it always rains on confernce weekend. what were we thinking?) Sounds like you've perfected the good old sneeky recipe!
I love this post! So cute about the rain, conference and also your sweet indulgence! Conference really was great! I am so happy for you and the experience you were able to have!!! My kids, however, weren't so... quiet. But I enjoyed the parts I was able to hear! I do think I could have gotten more out of it, but I was busy feeling a little sorry for myself because it was raining and Brad still went hunting! lol! I totally need to review a few talks! My sweet indulgence is something Annette and I used to make together: LOTS of Nestle Quick and a few drops of milk- OH YUMMM!!! I sneek it, share it and put it on my icecream!
Your post made me happy :) I loved hearing all of your thoughts. You can really see how much you love your family. Keep posts like this comin' girl.
Heather, this is your mom (I knew it) i have never tasted this treat of yours and Crystal's i only found the bowls in your toy box and under the bed they all had bits of oatmeal and chocolate in them. but I am the one who feed my kids choclate chip for a treat i guess you two found a better way to eat them...you are so funny or may be I'm am...
