Can we go visit Poppie?

Lizzy walks into my room and asks is Poppie still in Heaven? Me-Ya he is still in Heaven watching over us. Lizzy- Can we go visit poppie today? Me-Of corse we can...





They wondered around gathering sticks and then they came over and Austin built Poppie a fishing pole and Lizzy stacked her sticks all nice and neatly for him.
once they got done they just kinda sat and stared at poppies picture and every once in a while they would ask questions and tell me little things they remembered about him

Poppie would be so proud of me...

It's Hot ,Hot, Hot outside!!

so we resort to Popsicles, ice cream cones, slip-n-slides and sprinklers under the tramp! I hope our water bill isn't too outrageous this summer :)

While looking through the mounds and mounds of papers Austin brought home on the last two days of school I found this ...

If I were in charge of the world
I'd cancel school, writing, bed times, listening.
there would be taller houses, softer mattress and brighter night lights.
You wouldn't have sisters, mean people and mosquitoes.

Austin hates writing it bores him to death That was the only thing in conference that he struggled with he says their are so many things he would rather be doing.
now that it's summer he thinks he can stay up all hours of the night
listening well he's a kid
I don't understand the taller houses maybe to many Dr. sues books
He gets scared easily at night ( like his mom) so that would explain the brighter night lights
He doesn't understand why people are mean
and well who likes mosquitoes?
but when it comes to his sister....
I have to remind him sometimes how much he loves his sister....

now does that look like a boy who thinks his sister is as annoying as a mosquito?
